Contractors seek govt intervention on Kaduna contracts

Over 400 contractors of the Formal Act Legacy Ltd, Consultant to the 23 Local Government Area (LGAs) of Kaduna State, have cried out to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to help them recover over N30billion from the consultant.

The call for the debt recovery was contained in the open letter the group wrote to Tinubu, which The Nation obtained from Abuja yesterday.

The Interim Chairman of the group, Engr. Adamu Isah and Interim Secretary, Idris Isyaku, signed the letter.Meanwhile, the CEO of Formal Act Legacy Ltd, Consultant, Hon. Bashir Ibrahim, whom The Nation called on phone for his side of the story, described it as a false allegation.“It is a lie. Even if the Federal Government awards a contract of over N30billion, we will know, not to talk of an NGO,” said Ibrahim. But according to the letter, the contractors urged the President and the Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani to

“Intervene in the recovery of payments owed to all the contractors,

“II. Hold accountable those who orchestrated this fraudulent scheme,

“III. And restore our faith in the promise of justice and leadership.
